What a night!!

What a night!

Wow, well that’s the eighth annual Wirehive 100 awards completed and we’re so pleased with the format of the evening this year!

We decided we wanted to go all in with the theming and holding it at Thorpe Park on Fright Night was a great excuse for us to do this. Every year we aim to top the year before and we think this year’s The Masquerade certainly did that.

This year we took you to Thorpe Park, Chertsey and immersed you in the magical and opulent vibe of a venetian masquerade ball. Once our guests had made it past the Thorpe Park greeters they found themselves entering welcomed to The Masquerade by our mystical jesters and ushered through into a starlit corridor before arriving at the opulent extravaganza that was the Venetian Carnival. Mesmerised by our Bubbleologist (yes that’s a word and what an amazing job), captured on card by our Silhouette Artist and welcomed to The Feast by the Vintage Circus. There was certainly a lot to feast your eyes on and take in.

Once guests had found their seats they were welcomed to The Masquerade by Robert Belgrave, CEO, Wirehive who introduced the world-renowned electric string quartet, Siren. They performed an beautiful set during dinner and then played a specially choreographed piece to kick start the awards.

This year saw 14 agencies win awards, across 18 categories. It was great to see a number of different agencies winning this year, Human won Best Data Driven Campaign,  Fireworx won Brand Impact and Twelve Yards Out won Not for Profit Site of the Year. Along with some different winners we also saw some regular entrants and winners celebrating. Dorset Creative won Best Use of Emerging Technologies whilst Broadplace submitted some fantastic entries which meant they walked away with three awards – Fastest Growth, Performance Marketing Campaign and Rising Star (this one for the second year running)! We also had a couple of entrants doing well in their first year of entry. It was the first year for PureChannels who won Best Content Driven Campaign, The Pull Agency who won Digital Transformation and OptimiZon who were Runner-Up in the One to Watch category.  Now, let’s celebrate

Of course, no Wirehive 100 would be complete without the after-party! Once the awards were finished it was time to celebrate. Guests joined us back in the drinks reception area to sample some of the delicious ice-cream on offer (salted caramel cookie you say, don’t mind if I do) and try the enchanting mist-orbs with a choice of apple, passionfruit martini and lychee gin. There were some truly amazing photos taken, keep an eye on our social media to see when they’re uploaded.
