That’s it, we’ve announced the shortlist for Wirehive 100 Awards 2018. Congratulations to all the Finalists! You can view the Shortlist here.
This year we saw a record number of entries submitted for the Wirehive 100 Awards, across the 17 categories. The most popular categories were Best Use of Search, Agency for Good and Consumer Site of the Year. All together these categories made up 33% of the total entries.
Although it sounds cliché, the judges were keen to iterate how high the standard was this year. It made judging extremely difficult. The judges were made up of an independent panel of distinguished digital professionals to ensure the Wirehive 100 Award remains a recognised and credible benchmark of digital excellence. So, they understand, from experience, how tough some of the challenges were which you submitted.
New this Year!
We added in some new categories this year. There were still the old favorites, but the new additions were included to keep up with the ever-evolving face of the industry. We saw some strong entrants in these new categories, focusing on showcasing Agencies ethical and ‘good’ impact on the environment and people around them. The new categories made up 34% of the total entries and were made up of:
Most Emotionally Engaging Content - This is for content which can be proven to evoke a strong emotional response
Best Use of Emerging Technologies - Showcasing use of emerging technologies such as (but not limited to) AI, Blockchain, 3D Printing, AR, VR etc. that have the potential to deliver a significant client impact in the near future
Agency Leader - For an agency owner, MD or individual in a board level leadership role who exemplifies the best of agency leadership
Agency for Good - An award for agencies who have a genuine passion and ongoing commitment to doing good as part of their operating principles
Data Analytics and Insight - For compliant but effective and innovative use of data to drive actionable insights for customers to improve marketing performance
Digital Transformation - Show evidence of genuine transformation across people, process and technology that has had a lasting positive impact on employee and/or customer experience.
Don’t forget that at the heart of the awards remains the Wirehive 100 League Table. This is more than just a way to see how you stack up against the competition, it’s also used by companies in the South as a tool to find recognised local agencies to work with.
